As the size and total vertical coverage of an array is altered, the resulting change in low frequency (LF) energy output is not the same as the change in high-frequency (HF) output. In order to maintain consistent balance between LF and HF, array equalization filters are used. These shelving filters display varying amplitude and frequency. QSC’s AWARE™ (Automatic Wireless Array Recognition) technology provides the loudspeakers with the data that is required to select the appropriate equalization filter(s) for each specific deployment.
